The first full calendar year of operation for Eagle Point Rental
was 2003. During those 12 months, we've had honeymooners, family
vacations, movers, holiday travellers, guys and gals weekends, and
some pretty serious hunters and fisherpeople. We think the guys
and gals weekenders had the most fun, but we're not telling. We've
had about 150 guests who stayed for a total of about 100 nights.
That works out to about 450 individual guest nights in calendar
2003.
At the end of their stays, we asked the booking guest to complete
a short feedback form with a few questions about how we did during
their stay. Out of about 25 bookings, about 14 forms came back.
Here are the results of each question.
Responses were graded on a scale of 1 to 5, where a one is the lowest
and a five is the highest score.

We're proud of how we've done in the last year. And based on our scores,
we don't think you can find anyplace that will give you the same privacy,
features, service, and especially price.
Here's a few excerpts from our guest book at Eagle Point Rental. We
think their comments speak for themselves, regardless of the scores
above (names withheld for privacy):
December 27, 2002: We had a super Christmas celebration here at Eagle
Point! We tried out some local snowmobile trails, went sledding, took
the Rt. 38 scenic drive, visited the International Wolf Center in
Ely and relaxed and rested. Santa Claus visited us on December 24th
- very late!!! A good time was had by young and old. We will be back
soon!!! Take Care! We loved this place! :-)
June 21, 2003: 4th Annual "Girls Weekend" We have had so
much fun! We swam and sunbathed, drank, ate and partied. We had 2
campfires, played Scrabble, Yahtzee, and enjoyed every quiet moment
we had here. The view is gorgeous, weather was perfect, birds chirping,
frogs croaking, loons calling - what a PERFECT getaway!! Thanks to
Roger for being so accomodating and sweet! We'll definitely
return!!
July 6, 2003: 1st Annual Fourth of July Getaway: We had a great time.
The week just flew by and it's hard to believe we spent a week here.
Weather was perfect (first nice week of the season). We all spent
a little too much time in the sun with too little protection (C next
year sunscreen FIRST). The fish were biting. Small ones for the kids
and big ones for Derrick and a 3# largemouth bass. Northerns and a
nice small mouth bass as well. A and H (6 and 8) learned to cast,
bait, and almost take fish off their hooks. Great fishing off the
dock. Water was crystal clear, warm and loads of fun. We hope to return
soon and offer thanks to Roger and his family for making this one
great vacation. We enjoyed the home, the lake, the view, the sounds
of being up north. Happy 4th of July!!
July 20, 2003: This weekend was our first family get together at Eagle
Point. Thanks to J for finding this place, and thanks to Roger for
providing it. It is so beautiful and relaxing here. The cabin is perfect
for a lazy group. The scenery and lake are beautiful. Weather was
perfect except for a big storm Saturday evening that made at least
a few of us a bit nervous. We ate well, played games and had fun watching
our son (almost 15 months) discover and play. Many thanks to J and
K for hosting this weekend. We hope it will be the first of many in
the years to come.
September 20, 2003: Our thanks go out to the Hoyums for allowing us
to have a "Great" guys weekend. We have been searching for
the right place to have a poker weekend and this place was it. The
location is ideal along with many things to do right here on the premises.
We even conned Roger into coming over to donate a few quarters. Eagle
Point is a very comfortable and relaxing place. We are already planning
our next trip here and hopefully bringing a larger group with us.
Thanks again!!
